What should I do if my child has any of the symptoms above?
- Keep them home, notify CTW, and have them take a COVID-19 test.
- Currently CTW has plenty of antigen at home tests to share and we have a PCR tester to confirm the results of the antigen tests. We can administer PCR tests until the state ends their program.
- Your child must be fever-free for at least 24 hours, experience improved symptoms, and submit a negative COVID-19 test before returning to sessions. **If it is difficult to obtain a PCR test, the student may take a rapid antigen test at home on 2 successive days and may return to sessions if their symptoms have improved and they are fever-free.
What if my child tests positive for COVID-19?
- Notify CTW immediately and have your child isolate for 5 days following symptom onset. (Note: The first day of symptoms counts as day 0). Once your child has isolated for at least 5 days, is fever-free for at least 24 hours and has improved symptoms, they may return to sessions and they must wear N95 masks for 5 additional days. Note: A negative test result is not required to return to sessions, nor can it be used to return before the 5-day isolation period has passed.
